Harbor Sounds offers an eclectic mix of bluegrass, gospel, and some folk music.  Originating
in Pamlico County, NC in 1998, Harbor Sounds has expanded from its original four members
to the current group of eight.  The group is noted for its unusual vocal mix and arrangement
of melodies.  It's lively enthusiasm makes it a spirited, dynamic group that provides an
evening of toe-tappin', handclappin' fun.  What makes Harbor Sounds most unique is that
these folks donate their time and talent to raise money for worthy local charities and
organizations.

The Players

Asa and Dixie Gatlin from Stonewall, NC.  Dixie plays the fiddle and provides vocal harmonies
while Asa plays the bass and sings tenor.  Both are devout bluegrass enthusiasts.

Dick and Dottie Osmun from Oriental, NC are original members of Harbor Sounds.  Dick plays
acoustic guitar, and sings both baritone and bass.  Dottie sings melody and plays a variety of
rhythm "gadgets".

Harold Sanders plays banjo and sings lead bluegrass, and his wife Louise plays the mandolin
and provides excellent vocal harmonies.  Both hail from New Bern, NC.

Woody Fuller on harmonica is from Oriental, NC. Nine years ago he decided to take up the
harmonica again, an instrument he hadn't played since youth.

And on the spoons, is the very entertaining rhythm man, Bill Foster from Merritt, NC.
